If you were drawn to Gateless, you were most likely born to write, and the Gateless Academy was designed with you in mind. Inside the beauty and rigor of these ten months, you will find everything you need to succeed in the literary landscape.

The Process

Please submit the application found below.

• It can take up to seven days for our team to read your application.
• After this review, you will receive an email from the Gateless Academy telling you of your status in the upcoming Academy.
• If you have been accepted, Gateless Accounting will generate an invoice for a deposit, which will hold your space.
• Once we receive your deposit, we will send a welcome letter, your password for the Academy portal and a complete overview of what’s in store for you during the next academic year. This includes membership in the New Rules Studio, an online writing salon founded by internationally-acclaimed author and core Gateless teacher, Terri Trespicio.
• Please be reminded: The Gateless method was founded on creative brain-science research, which suggests that craft tools, intensive skill-building around the literary process, industry resources, mentoring and access to a worldwide creative network are catalytic to building a career in writing. This, coupled with extensive feedback on your power, strength and singular talent as a writer are the foundational building blocks of the Academy.
• You will be given intensive information not only on building your book, but also on selling your book. During this process, we do not allow criticism, judgment-based commenting, subjective opinion, “shoulds,” censorship, or a sense that we must all subscribe to a certain way of creating in order to be successful.
