Cancellation Policy for the Gateless Academy

Once a writer enters the Gateless Academy, the writers signs an acceptance letter stating their commitment to the program, to their community and to their writing.

Should the writer wish to withdraw from the program before the second week of their enrollment, all monies save a $250 administrative deposit will be refunded.

Should the writer wish to withdraw from the program after the second week, tuition is non-refundable.

Should the writer become ill or experience unforeseen circumstances, the writer will still continue to pay the remainder of the year and can simply reenter the following year.

Cancellation Policy for the Teacher Training & Retreats

If canceling 25 days before the start of the program, the participant is eligible to have any payments made to date (excluding any deposit transaction fees incurred) credited toward a comparable upcoming Gateless Writing Program. This credit must be used within one year of the cancellation date and cannot be applied toward 1:1 time with Suzanne.

If canceling less than 25 days before the start of the program, deposit cannot be refunded. All other payments made beyond the deposit can be used toward another Gateless Writing Retreat or Training.

Gateless Writing does not offer credit for arriving late or leaving early. We are not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any canceled program, such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip. Please make sure your credit card has trip insurance or consider buying a policy.

There is no exception to the Cancellation Policy including weather or personal emergencies, flight cancellations or delays.

We recommend purchasing travel protection insurance through a qualified agent.

If we must cancel a retreat, there will be a one hundred percent refund on all funds received to date.
