Location

The retreat will be located at the Sunrise Mountain Retreat Center, Santa Teresa, Costa Rica.

Arrival & Departure Times

• The Retreat commences on Sunday, January 26 at 12:00 pm where you will be picked up by a taxi service from Banana Beach and taken to the Sunrise Mountain Retreat Center.
• The retreat will officially end on Friday, January 31 at 8:00 am.

Travel Arrangements

Arrival:

1. You’ll fly from your departure location to SJO International Airport, in San Jose Costa Rica (arriving at least one day before the first day of the retreat).
2. Then walk outside (2 min) to the domestic terminal and catch a short local flight (20min) to Cobano on Sansa Air or Green Airways. You also have the option to fly to Liberia and take a shuttle that is about a 3-5 hour drive.
3. From there you take a taxi to your hotel in Santa Teresa. A taxi ride is about 20 minutes and can take 4 people and is ($45). We can supply you with our trusted taxi contact.
4. On Jan 26th we will have a taxi service pick you up from Banana Beach at 12:00 pm and bring you to the Sunrise Mountain Retreat Center. If you are staying elsewhere please arrange to be at Banana Beach for pick up at 12:00 pm.

For the night before the retreat starts, we recommend staying at one of the following hotels:

House of Somos 

Note: we recommend it is  best to stay in a central part of town the night before the retreat.

Departure:

On Jan 31st, the retreat officially ends at 8:00 am. At 9:00 am there will be transportation organized for your departure to either Cobano Airport or the main town.

What to Bring

• Comfy clothes: think loose pants, tank tops, loungy clothes, flowy dresses… but that said – ball gowns, high top, crochet – whatever makes you feel like the most you-best YOU!
• Yoga pants
• Flip flops/sandals
• Long sleeve/sweatshirt (can be cool in the mornings and evenings)
• PJs
• Swimsuits for surfing
• Surf shirt (rash guard) OR an old tee shirt that you can wear over a bathing suit 
• Sun hat
• Sarong/cover-up
• Sunscreen
• Sunglasses
• Bug repellent 
• Toiletries: body soap, face wash, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, lotion, hairbrush etc.
• Comfort item (such as a scarf/shawl to wrap yourself in and get cozy)
• Eye mask if that’s your thing 
• Any supplements, medications, essential oils
• Laptop and charger (we will have daily writing sessions, so if you prefer to write with a notebook, that’s cool too, but past guests have often said I wish I brought my computer!)
• Journal and pen
• Reusable water bottle  
• USD as it is widely accepted in town
• One white outfit
• Curious mind and an open heart
