Gateless Team

Michelle Alexoff: Gateless Accounting
I reside in the rolling green hills of Southern Vermont with my 16 year old kiddo. In addition to my Gateless work, I am a professional full time ornamental and vegetable gardener, three seasons out of the year. When winter chases me inside, I tend to my seasonal housecleaning business as well as doing some personal cheffing. I have many irons in the fire, and truly embrace the variety of all the things that I get to do to earn a living! My free time is spent tending to my own extensive perennial and vegetable gardens, cooking, and connecting with friends and family, hopefully around a fire, or table full of food that I’ve prepared!

Tammy Ari: Gateless Writing Business Manager
Having spent 20+ years as a marketing strategist, leading global marketing teams, she loves supporting the Gateless team to ensure all communications and marketing platforms are humming and serving the community. Prior to working as a Marketing consultant under her business, Veirtu, Tammy Ari spent 16+ years of her career immersed in the Corporate world, working as a brand, innovation, and insights strategist, where she conceptualized and launched several award winning brands and products across luxury, consumer goods, retail and tech (Disney, MasterChef x Coles, Penfolds, Georg Jensen x Heemskerk +). In her most recent role with one of the largest beverage companies in the world, Treasury Wine Estates, Tammy was responsible for the Global Innovation Strategy across 70+ brands.

Kate Baldwin: Senior Editor for Gateless Programs
I’ve been writing since I was a little child growing up on an island in Maine, making words into poems while the tide came in. I grew up to get my MFA from Vermont College and my MEd with a focus on literacy from Lesley University. I was trained in the inaugural Gateless Teacher Training in 2015. Since then I’ve worked as a development editor for Green Writers Press, Rockport Press and Islandport Press as their YA editor.
I run a multi-genre Gateless writing salon for women, as well as salons for kids and teens in the Greater Boston area. I’ve been with Gateless for nearly ten years and my favorite work by far is as Senior Editor for Gateless, bringing authors into the world and editing all the public writing that comes out of Gateless Writing, Inc.
My own work has appeared in The Maine Review, Hunger Mountain, Soundings East, The Larcom Review and the Huffington Post among others. I believe my deepest education has come from a lifetime of reading (and now working on) beautiful books. When I am not walking my black lab Rosie in the woods in my hometown of Newburyport, Massachusetts, I am at work on my first novel.

HeatherLee Farrell: Gateless Writing Academy Program Coordinator
I live and wander in the mountains and open spaces of New Mexico where one of my loves is creating earth art and alters out of foraged natural materials. My professional background melds together healthcare and wellness with wilderness and body, stillness and breath-based practices. I infuse all my health and wellness programs with nature in accessible ways. Lifelong, I’ve approached creative expression as a vital part of wellness and health integrating that professionally too. (HeatherLeeFarrell.com, online and onland).)
Writing was always a private love of mine. It wasn’t until I was not able to speak well for three years due to a severe accident that I truly embraced how powerful our words are. When I felt well enough, I began writing almost as a devotion returning my voice to me. Creativity offered me regeneration of health and wellness while going through what ultimately became roughly nine years of surgery and recovery. Writing helped me feel more resilient, healed, and empowered while I was still considered medically unwell and recovering.
During that time, I decided to explore writing several books. I first applied to Gateless as an act of bravery to claim becoming a writer before even finishing my surgeries! Joining Gateless was transformative for me, providing a community and joy in a time of immense personal challenge. I am excited to continue to learn, connect. I feel incredibly grateful to be part of this community of writers. And now to be supporting others along this path with me. As of this year, I have been part of the Gateless Academy for almost four years as a writer, learner and team member.

Roberto Hernán Santucho: Gateless Academy Tech Support
I’m from Buenos Aires (Argentina) and I’m an IT engineer & graphic designer. Since 2002, I was worked in international companies and on independent projects.
When I am off my computer, I love to be with my family, travel around the world and I enjoy art as a hobby.

John Williams: Web Designer/Developer for Gateless Writing
I’m an independent creative director serving marketing and outreach efforts for a diverse clientele under the banner Williams & Company.
My greatest source of satisfaction is in combining ideas, words and images that enable clients to communicate effectively with their audiences. I have always loved plying the skills associated with this process – design, copy development and strategic thinking. I enjoy engaging personally with people representing commercial and social concerns, including philanthropies and arts organizations, as well as service businesses, consultants, and manufacturing firms. I have worked independently, and as a team leader with other marketing professionals to complete many award-winning projects.
I live and have raised a family in Chester, CT, a wonderful town on the Connecticut River and ten minutes from the Long Island Sound. Most weekends find me and my partner, Ivey, hiking in the Cockaponsett Forest.

In 2007, after graduating from the Bennington College Masters in Fine Arts program, Suzanne founded Gateless Writing, an internationally-acclaimed organization whose unique methodology combines brain science and therapeutic touch to draw out writers’ unique talent and singular genius, enabling them to move through residual blocks and create domain-changing prose. Through retreats, workshops, one-on-one intensives and career training programs, Suzanne has helped countless writers on their path to acquiring top agents, signing 6-figure book deals, hitting bestseller lists and wining prestigious literary awards. Her writers have been interviewed by the New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and major Hearst publications, they have seen themselves on CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates, and have appeared in Forbes, USA Today, and on the Jane Pauley show.
As a writing intuit, Suzanne’s “channeling” and shamanic practices have created incredible shifts in her writers’ work and in their lives. Ultimately, she believes the urge to write is a dancing order from the divine; writers are “scribes”, and the messages they are called to write have extraordinary power to change the world.
