Location

The retreat will be located at the beautiful Hotel San Michele: Via Guelfa, 15, 52044 Cortona AR, Italy.

Arrival & Departure Times

  • The Retreat will commence onThursday, May 7 at 1 pm CET (Central European Time). You must be at the hotel at or before this time.
  • The Retreat will end on Monday, May 11 at 9 am CET (Central European Time).

 

Travel Arrangements

  • You can arrive in Cortona by train from either Florence or Rome. Your train station in Cortona is Camucia (closest) or Terentola (a bit further).  You can get train tickets HERE from either: Rome to Camucia, Rome to Terentola, Florence to Camucia, or Florence to Terentola.
  • You need a taxi friendly m the train station, and the hotel will arrange a taxi for you in advance. Please call them (+39 0575 604348) or email them directly to share your arrival details.
  • All hotel rooms are booked under my name, Suzanne Kingsbury.
  • The hotel will also arrange taxis for your departure to either the Camucia or Terentola train station (depending on your preference). Tell them when you arrive.

 

What to Bring

  • Comfy clothes, cozy sweaters, flowy dresses, wraps, and good walking shoes.
  • Swimsuits, sun hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses.
  • Toiletries such as body soap, face wash, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, toothbrush, lotion, hairbrush etc.
  • Comfort items such as a scarf, eye mask, or ear plugs if that’s your thing.
  • Any supplements or medications.
  • Laptop, journal, pen, charger, phone, and plug adaptors (we will have daily writing sessions, so if you prefer to write with a notebook, that’s cool too, but past guests have often said, “I wish I brought my computer!”).
  • Euros! Ask your bank for euros before you come. They’re exchange rate won’t be great, but it will give you a chance to start out with some money in the country.
  • Even if your cell phone company has an international plan included in it, you should start your trip with a digital SIM card to ensure you have good connectivity when you arrive. We recommend Saily.
  • Reusable water bottle.
  • Curious mind and an open heart.
