About Keith H. Brown

Keith H. Brown is a highly acclaimed, award-winning illustrator and author. 

His client list includes the New York Times, Blue Note Records, Macmillan Publishing, FS&G Publishing, Akashic Books, Carnegie Hall, Jazz at the Lincoln Center, The Smithsonian, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Christian McBride, Toshiko Akiyoshi, and Duke Ellington. He is represented by Claire Morance at Painted Words Agency., 

His books include: Birth of the Cool: How Jazz Great Miles Davis Found His Sound, written by Kathy Cornell Berman and published by Page Street Kids, Because of You, John Lewis, written by Andrea Davis Pinkney and published by Scholastic, the graphic memoir, Pushing Hope, written by one of the Exonerated Five, Raymond Santana, and published by Astra. He illustrated and co-wrote, My Dad is a DJ, with Kathryn Erskine, published by Farrar, Straus & Giroux.

He teaches drawing and illustration at Parsons School of Design at The New School in New York City.
